Diana Santos was the woman who was thrown to the ground and rendered unconscious by a Fairfield Police officer during a domestic dispute call.
Edward Chaves, Diana's husband was there to witness the incident unfold as they were the ones calling for help. He says the next thing you know, my wife's injured and my kids are going to jail. The initial call was to deal with a dispute between Santos daughter and her boyfriend.
Santos' is being charged with 2 misdemeanor accounts, one for resisting arrest and one fore obstruction. Body cam footage is being requested and Santos attorney is meeting with the district attorney this week.
We'll see what happens, we defiantly need an alternative to arresting the people who are calling for help, a deescalation team or something!
