Castro Valley has rejected a proposed new CHICK-FIL-A location. Castro Valley Municipal City Council and Alameda County advisors say that CHICK-FIL-A does not meet the General Plan Policies of using the space for "cultural, entertainment or art" use. The location would be right next to an area where there is already a McDonald's and Wendy's so we don't need ya!!
Council members also sited the contributions CHICK-FIL-A corporation made to ANTI-LGBTQ organizations as a reason why they would not be welcome in the Castro Valley community.
If you should want to get your golden fried sandwich craving in and have to have CHICK-FIL-A you can always head to the nearest locations in Pleasanton, Walnut Creek and Fremont!
