A 12 year old girl has died after having a severe lice infestation. Medical records showed that the girl died from cardiac arrest caused by severe anemia. The anemia was said to come from the lice biting the girl, causing the girls blood iron levers to be low.
A judge ruled that there was not enough evidence for the parents to be charged with second degree murder.
