On February 4th, Jay-Z kicked off his "Jay-Z" Carter Lecture Series at Columbia University. When asked about the recent passing of Kobe Bryant, the rapper talked about one of the last times they were together.
Jay-Z says the last time he saw Kobe was at his house on New Years and that he was in great spirits. He also shared one of the last conversations they had and revealed it was about his daughter, Gianna.
"One of the last things he said to me was, 'You gotta see Gianna play basketball.' And that was one of the most hurtful things because he was so proud."
