The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards are taking place this Sunday, January 26th. The nominees and performance roster have been all been set, but The Recording Academy had one more important announcement for the award show's agenda.
In a press release on January 21st, the Academy announced that an all-star lineup will be paying respect to the late Nipsey Hussle in a special performance during the show. The lineup includes Kirk Franklin, DJ Khalet, John Legend, Meek Mill, Roddy Ricch and YG.
In his official statement Grammy awards executive producer, Ken Ehrlich said, "There is no denying the influence he had and his legacy will be felt for generations to come. We are honored to bring together this amazing group of artists to celebrate Nipsey's life and pay tribute to his many contributions to music. It's sure be a memorable performance."
The 62nd Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from Staples Center on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT.
