In-N-Out is leaving Oakland!
ABC 7's Dion Lim reports that the In-N-Out located at 8300 Oakport St. in Oakland will be closing its doors on March 24th due to the rise in crime in the area, including car break-ins, armed robberies and more.
"This location remains a busy and profitable one for the company, but our top priority must be the safety and wellbeing of our Customers and Associates - we cannot ask them to visit or work in an unsafe environment," said the company's COO Denny Warnick.
Employees will have the choice between receiving a severance package or be transferred to another location. The nearest In-N-Out locations are in Alameda and San Leandro.
