Old Navy is spreading holiday cheer in the Tenderloin!
The GLIDE Foundation's Janice Mirikitani Family, Youth and Childcare Center (330 Ellis St. in San Francisco) teamed up with Old Navy for the 8th year in a row to give local children free goodies this holiday season! In the past, children received $100 shopping sprees or gift cards to shop online during the pandemic. This year, Old Navy delivered shopping bags full of merchandise to the organization due to the rain.
According to KTVU, "The program director said the hope is that next year, the children will be able to go to the Old Navy store in person, shop for their items and receive them the same day."
The organization's mission is to "create a radically inclusive, just, and loving community mobilized to alleviate suffering and break the cycles of poverty and marginalization." Learn more about GLIDE here.
