Two Americans have returned to the United States after surviving a horrific kidnapping in Mexico. According to Mexican authorities, the other two Americans were killed before the rescue effort.
Four Americans, Latavia "Tay" McGee, Shaeed Woodard, Eric James Williams, and Zindell Brown drove into Matamoros, Mexico, on Friday morning. Matamoros is located in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas, just south of Brownsville, Texas.
Williams and McGee escaped the kidnapping, according to Mexican investigators, who suspect the kidnappers may have mistaken the Americans were rival human traffickers.
They were discovered on Tuesday morning in a wooden home outside of Matamoros in the Lagunona neighborhood, according to Mexican authorities.
One of the deceased was also discovered inside the home, and the second was discovered outside.
