It seems there are dirtier cities in America far worse than those in the Bay Area, contrary to transplant beliefs. A viral ranking of America's dirties cities from LawnStarter has ranked 150 of the biggest cities based on four categories: pollution, living conditions, infrastructure, and consumer satisfaction.
The top 10 included 3 California cities, ironically none in the Bay Area!
1 Houston TX
2 Newark NJ
3 San Bernardino CA
4 Detroit MI
5 Jersey City NJ
6 Bakersfield CA
7 San Antonio TX
8 Fresno CA
9 Oklahoma City OK
10 Yonkers NY
San Francisco barely made the top 100 coming in at 97! Oakland ranked higher than SF at 115 due to higher consumer satisfaction. San Jose came in at 129 due to high living condition ranking. While Sunnyvale barely made the list ranking at 151!
Los Angeles came in at 15 due to their low pollution, living condition and exceptionally low infrastructure ranking. Modesto followed up at 16 following the same low rankings as LA, yet with some of the lowest infrastructure rankings of all cities. Stockton came in at 33 and Santa Clarita at 81. Santa Ana 84.
