Rumors ran wild on the internet tonight with rumors that hip hop legend Biz Markie had passed away. He had been battling health conditions and suffered a stroke while being hospitalized for complications with Type 2 diabetes in late 2020.
The family was quick to dispel rumors of his death and stated he was indeed alive and in hospice care. Reports did confirm unfortunately he did suffer significant brain damage.
Biz Markie is considered a legend in Hip Hop whom helped create and cultivate the sound we all love today. We wish him and his family a speedy recovery and the strength to pull through this difficult time.
