Fans worldwide had been waiting in anticipation for nearly 2 months to see Oakland's own Keyshia Cole take on Ashanti in a highly celebrated Verzuz battle. Folks were definitely feeling a way about the two ladies showing up fashionably late... 30 mins late to be exact! The frustration had gotten to everyone, as you can see below, even Swizz Beats (Verzuz creator) chimed in expressing his disappointment.
As the battle kicked off for these R&B divas the Instagram numbers were crazy high hitting over 1 million viewers from the start! Things were all love during the Verzuz, but O.T. Genasis making an appearance during Keyshia's "Love" seemed to have struck a nerve with one of Keyshia's sisters. O.T. did a cover to Cole's song last year & it caused an internet beef where he spoke some un-choice words about Keyshia's mother. From her statements following the battle it sounds like Cole's sister hasn't forgotten or forgiven Genasis for insulting the family.
