Amazon Prime Video Sued For Misleading Subscribers With New Ad Tier

Prime Video subscribers have field a lawsuit against the streaming service, alleging they were misled by the streaming service's new policy to charge extra to watch content without ads. At the end of January, Prime Video made the ad-supported tier its default level for all subscribers, and if you want to get rid of the ads, you now have to pay an extra $2.99 per month. Currently, Amazon Prime includes Prime Video at $14.99 a month. A membership to Prime Video without shipping benefits is $8.99 a month. The lawsuit claims the move to add the new tier is "unfair," "deceptive," & "unlawful." Full details HERE via The Hollywood Reporter
