Meet Damon Covington Oakland's Own New Fire Chief

Earlier today Oakland's Mayor, Sheng Thao swore in a new Oakland Fire Department Chief, Damon Covington. Damon is an Oakland native who graduated from Bishop O'Dowd High School. He is now set to lead the city's fire department, in a statement to the city he said, “Thank you guys for trusting me with a huge opportunity for 500 members of the Oakland Fire Department and 400,000 members of the City of Oakland,” said Chief Covington.
