Starbucks Raising Wages at Least 3% Starting January 1st

Starbucks has announced it's raising the hourly pay of it's U.S. retail employees by 3% beginning in 2024. Workers with two to five years of employment with the coffee chain will receive a 4% raise while workers with over five years will receive a 5% raise. Additionally, paid vacations benefits will be accessible to more employees, because the minimum days worked requirement has been reduced. These moves come following a year where more and more Starbucks locations have organized and voted to unionize. Are you surprised by Starbucks' attempt to deter unionizing?
