Recently, BMI recognized some of the major heavy hitters in music, and Lil Wayne was one of the artists to take home the awards given that night. In addition to snatching 4 BMI Songwriter Of The Year awards, he was also awarded the BMI Icon Award. This last Icon award brings Lil Wayne's total number to 53 BMI Awards earned.
