Adults Earn High School Diplomas For FREE in San Jose

10 Adults earned their high school diploma through a San Jose library program offered at no cost! In an interview with reporters, one graduate said "I feel so proud of myself today I feel excited about all this. It was a dream, and the dream came true." 6 years ago Viviana Suarez fled violence in Colombia for America. With 2 young kids it was hard for Viviana to complete the 3 year program and work to provide for her family, she even admitted to wanting to quit several times. She wanted to show her young kids what education could do for them, "The kids live by example. They don't believe what you say- they believe what they see."
