The Vallejo City Council voted to name a stretch of South Vallejo city streets after their beloved Earl "E-40" Stevens. The street sign will go from Laurel Street to Old Glen Road, about a mile of Magazine Street will be now called E-40 Way. The hip-hop legend has been in the entertainment industry for over 30 years, & In many of his songs, E-40 often mentions his Vallejo upbringing, and how the streets of Vallejo shaped and molded him into the man he became. E-40 is known for donating to the Vallejo Salvation Army through turkeys for Thanksgiving and food donations to the homeless. E-40 is an serial entrepreneur who has launched his own line of both food and alcoholic beverages. Friendship Missionary Baptist’s longest-serving pastor, Reverend Dr. Caroll Broadfoot, will also receive an honorary street. Dr. Broadfoot has served as pastor for 21 years and has grown the church congregation from 350 to 1,500 members. Via the Vallejo Sun HERE
