After pressure from a key corporate sponsor-- Washington's NFL team released a statement via Twitter today (July 13) announcing the football team will be retiring their name and logo “upon completion of (the name) review."
With calls for racial justice and threatened loss of sponsors, the NFL team vowed to make proper adjustments, however the announcement that took 87 years has NFL fans skeptical on the team’s pledge being followed through.
