Noname Responds To J. Cole In New Song - Twitter Reacts!

J. Cole logged on to Twitter yesterday to double down on his alleged Noname diss and further explaine his love and appreciation for her.

His song “Snow On Tha Bluff” received criticism after making assumptions about her in the first verse.

“She mad at the celebrities, low key I be thinkin’ she talkin’ ‘bout me / Now I ain’t no dummy to think I’m above criticism / So when I see something that’s valid, I listen / But s**t, it’s something about the queen tone that’s botherin’ me,”

J Cole explains in his song that he is not the “leader” his fans pressure him to be. And continues to reference NoName in being a leader during these times & raps that her “parents that know ‘bout the struggle for liberation,” when in reality Noname herself had to read more about activism and capitalism after being dragged by Twitter last year.

The song had Twitter divided as some critiqued his lyrics as tone deaf and divisive, while the other half received the message differently and felt the criticism was an attempt to have their fave cancelled.

Now, two days after J. Cole released his song, Noname has shared her first new solo single of 2020. It’s called “Song 33,” and it makes reference to the deaths of George Floyd and Toyin Salau. She posted the link to her new song as well as an attachment of the lyrics for all to read.

J. Cole reposted the song on his Twitter as well.

And of course, Twitter reacted.
