Don't let the "One last time" tagline fool you. The third installment of the Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys for Life, just hit theaters today and there's already news on its follow up.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony has tapped Chris Bremner to write the script. Bremner also received a "screenplay by" credit in Bad Boys for Life. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are expected to return and will hopefully be released in a much shorter time period than its predecessor.
The arrival of this news is likely due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews that the film has been receiving. Critics usually despise reboots, remakes, and sequels but many of them are impressed with how well the action packed franchise dealt with returning after nearly two decades.
