With tensions high in Sacramento after the police shooting death of Stephon Clark, the city's basketball team is doing what they can to mend fences. The Sacramento Kings have set up an education fund for Clark's children and have vowed to work with Black Lives Matter Sacramento and the Build. Black. Coalition.
The Kings are working on a multi-year partnership to help education efforts in the African-American community.
Protesters have made an impact at a couple of recent Kings home games at the Golden 1 Center. Last week, a game was played in a nearly empty area and this week, protesters blocked entrances to the game only allowing about 4000 people inside.
