The Bay Bridge announced earlier this year that they may be raising their prices to $9, and now BART just announced that they are considering raising their parking prices in the mornings, which is when BART is the busiest.
Some suspect that this price hike is a strategy to free up parking space in the morning for commuters that can afford the new parking prices.
