Something big is coming to the Bay Area!
Too $hort is executive producing a movie based on his song, "Freaky Tales!" According to SF GATE, the upcoming movie is being directed by Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden, with musical selections by the Bay's own Raphael Saadiq.
The movie, starring the Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal as well as Ben Mendelsohn and Jay Ellis, has reportedly starting filming at various places in Oakland. "It seems like the entire film is being filmed here in Oakland, which is very exciting. Oakland's vibrancy with these national large scale projects is very exciting," says James MacIlvaine of the Oakland Film Office
