After securing the social media company for $44 billion, Elon Musk is making major changes at Twitter!
According to NBC Bay Area, an email went out to all Twitter employees advising them to expect an email on Friday morning at 9AM PST regarding their employment. If they receive a note on their Twitter email, they would still be employed. If they receive a note in their personal email, they are being laid off and will no longer be employed at Twitter. About 50%-75% of the entire workforce will reportedly be cut in the near future.
The San Francisco headquarters have also been closed "to help ensure the safety of each employee as well as Twitter systems and customer data." See the email below.
