This Oakland City Council candidate is under a lot of fire after showing her support for Kanye West, who made headlines after making antisemitic comments.
In a now deleted tweet, Nenna Joiner said, "Still rooting for you. Hope your come back is much greater. #prayforYe." The Oakland City Council hopeful's statement has been labeled as "absolutely disturbing." According to SF Gate, Joiner later posted an apology and addressed her comment in another now deleted tweet. However, some people commented on the post saying her apology was "weak."
Kanye West has recently been dropped from multiple brand deals with Adidas, Balenciaga, GAP and more following his antisemitic statements.
