Last August the State of California made headlines for not only requiring teachers and staff in our schools to be vaccinated but also because the state was the first to put this requirement in place. Now more than one year later the mandate is being lifted, which means unvaccinated teachers and staff will no longer have to undergo weekly testing nor will proof of vaccine be required. Starting September 17th the mandate will be officially lifted and the decision comes because officials feel majority of people in the state are vaccinated and the vaccine is also available to student age youth.
