This swim isn't for the faint of heart!
The San Ramon Valley High School in Danville water polo team plans to swim from Alcatraz to San Francisco at their first team challenge on August 13th.
They will be joining Team Hydro, "an organization founded with the mission of using open water swims to raise awareness and research funding for Hydrocephalus, a currently incurable neurological disorder that affects the lives of more than one million Americans." The water polo team coach hopes to raise $7,500 for the organization and plans to join the team in the water, as well.
