They are not only growing the sweetest strawberries but they're doing it from vertical indoor farms that are very expensive to build and maintain but also don't strip farmlands of vital nutrients. These strawberries are much larger than ones conventionally grown, they are apparently very fragrant, so the smell of strawberry will waft through the packaging before you even taste the juicy and buttery textured fruit. The giant berries are the Omokase variety and are only found in a small region in Japan. These Oishii strawberries are now being grown in their indoor vertical farms in New York, New Jersey and California and if you want to try these extra large berries they were selling out at $50 for a box of 6.
