One major need for most communities is quality childcare that is not only affordable but also accessible when needed. Thankfully the city of San Francisco has heard its residents and is making this a priority through Mayor London Breed's Child and Family Recovery Plan, where the city will reportedly invest over $50 Million dollars to help provide access to quality childcare to low income families through vouchers. The funding will also help to increase staffing, providing more support for parents at the Family Resource Centers, as well as provide improvements to the systems in place that help parents sign up and access resources. This is a major step in the direction to continue to be a family/child friendly city by providing the much needed support for parents/families and ultimately our children as they come out of this pandemic.
