Black Joy Parade is Back in Oakland! Free + Joy For the Whole Fam!

We have all missed the excitement and celebration that is the Black Joy Parade and it's BACK for it's 5th Annual event this weekend! This is the biggest free event of its kind in California that is welcoming for the whole family, so let the countdown begin until you can enjoy Black art, music, food, and support local vendors. The theme for Black History Month this year is Health and Wellness, so make sure to check out the Healing Zone. If you're bringing the babies - they will for sure want to swing by the Lil Joy area with fun for children. Don't forget to also swing by the Gaming Area especially if you have Spades or Chess skills- plus DC will be supplying the vibe, check him out in the DJ Booth! There's so much to see and experience and it all kicks off at 12:30pm PST in Downtown Oakland.

"We are so excited to host The Black Joy Parade in person again. We can’t wait for the community to see what we have created to celebrate us. It’s going to feel like the largest family reunion ever.” says Elisha Greenwell, Oakland resident and founder of Black Joy Parade.

Get ready to soak up and celebrate all the Black Joy this Sunday, 2/27.
