Two couples are planning to sue a California fertility clinic after finding out their embryos were switched during the implantation process.
According to NBC Bay Area, shortly after their baby was born, one couple noticed their daughter had a slightly darker complexion. A DNA test confirmed that the baby the mother birthed, was not actually her baby.
The couple was able to track down the other family, who welcomed a baby girl just a week after their daughter was born, and eventually swapped their children back. Though the mix-up was unfortunate, the two families intend to stay in contact.
