Frank Somerville gained national attention after he was suspended for wanting to "add commentary about racial justice to the end of a broadcast story about [Gabby] Petito," according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
After being away for over a month, Somerville has come to the conclusion that he will not be returning to KTVU, saying:
“My guess is that I’m not coming back to Channel 2. That’s just a guess. But I have no reason to think otherwise.”
