This San Francisco man filed a lawsuit against Apple after they refused to fix his phone, despite being under warranty.

According to Business Insider, Theodore A. Kim bought his phone from an authorized retailer in Vietnam. Upon returning to the U.S., his phone was having issues reading the new sim card. He brought it to the Apple store and the employee said they would not be fixing his phone because it had been "tampered with." The phone was returned to him with a broken sim card tray.

After multiple complaints and little to no response, Kim decided to take Apple to small claims court for $1,383.13.
