Another Bay Area county is getting ready to ease up on the mask mandate!

On October 15th, Marin County plans to modify their mask mandate by allowing people to go maskless in indoor controlled spaces, such as offices and gyms. The area needs to be controlled (ex. employees, gym members only) and not open to the general public. Everyone must be vaccinated and not exceed 100 people, according to SF GATE.

The mask mandate will still apply for public areas, such as grocery stores, where attendance is not controlled.

County Public Health Officer Dr. Matt Willis said, "We're not ready to lift the mandate across the board, but we're in a good place to ease restrictions for the safest settings."
