The popular Taqueria, El Farolito, will not be able to open a new North Beach location due to the area's ban on chain restaurants.
FOX KTVU explains that San Francisco defines a chain as a restaurant with 11 or more locations. The North Beach location would have been their 12th location.
Chains are reportedly banned in North Beach, Hayes Valley and Chinatown.
