The Oakland Unified School District will now require all students ages 12+ to get vaccinated against COVID.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports that the only exemptions to this real are "medical and 'personal belief' reasons." There is no timeline for enforcement yet, but the superintendent says it will likely not be before January.
OUSD is the first district in Northern California to implement such mandate, though Berkeley, Contra Costa and Sacramento are also considering similar requirements.
