By now you've most likely seen Beyonce and Jay Z in their Tiffany & Co. ads for the Tiffany & Co. 'About Love' Campaign. Not only were the ads a major fashion/artistic statement but they are also using this campaign to support education and specifically higher learning in the arts and fields that support creatives. Both Bey's Foundation BEYGOOD and Jay's Shawn Carter Foundation have partnered with Tiffany & Co. to award $2 MILLION in scholarships to students at specific HBCU's. The scholarship application period is now open and goes through 9/26 at 11:59pm EST. It is open to current and new students at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, Norfolk State University in Virginia, Bennett College in North Carolina, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and Central State University in Ohio. Scholarships will reportedly be prioritized by students' needs, with awards going to students facing financial hardships.
