California is just coming off the celebration of being able to reopen and the mask mandate being removed. Now there is another mandate coming down that is the first of its kind. Although people seem to have mixed feelings about mask wearing, most are still being cautious in crowded indoor spaces. California has become one of the biggest states to proceed with such caution as we safely reopen. Vaccinations have also been of importance with a large number of California residents getting theirs done well before they started offering gift cards and the opportunity to win a hefty lottery. Right in line with this mindset of safety and caution, the city officials of San Francisco are now reportedly saying that all city of San Francisco employees are required to get vaccinated by July 29th or they could face being fired from their job. This mandate will make San Francisco the first city to require its employees to be vaccinated. Those that have a health condition or a medical reason for being unable to receive the vaccine will be exempt as long as they provide a release from a medical provider.
