More and more states are offering incentive programs to encourage people to get their Corona Virus Vaccine. California has joined this growing list and it's incentive program, 'Vax to Win', kicked off June 4th for California residents, that are 12 and older and have been vaccinated! There are incentives for newly vaccinated residents (5/27 an on) as well as folks that already stepped up for their shot! So if you're already vaccinated and you did it before 5/27, not to worry, you still qualify for the following winnings:
$50,000 Fridays- The first drawing was 6/4 and 30 winners were selected. Next chance to win is Friday June 11th.
$1.5 Million Winners- This is the big one- with 10 total winners chosen on June 15th.
The next question is-how do I find out if I'm a winner? The CA Department of Public Health (CDPH) will be protecting the privacy of the winners and will contact you directly if you're a winner. Keep a look out for an OFFICIAL contact from the CDPH to reach out -beware of scammers!
If you recently got your vaccine, meaning on or after 5/27, or you're still planning to get it- you're automatically eligible to choose one of these $50 gift cards:
-A $50 virtual card (which can be spent online, in-store where major debit cards are accepted, or added to a mobile wallet to be used to shop in-stores that accept mobile wallets),
-Or a $50 grocery gift card from Kroger (which includes Ralphs, Food 4 Less and Foods Co.),
-Or a $50 grocery gift card from Albertsons (which includes Safeway, Albertsons, Vons, Pavilions and Andronico's Community Markets).
