We ALL get Robo Calls, and we've all fallen for a call or two, keep it real! Some calls are more cryptic than others. Then there are the robo calls that sound like a real person, but in fact they are a recording trying to entice you with a good deal or savings. We can't forget the ones that try to put THE FEAR in you sometimes alluding to the fact that your identity was stolen or you have some legal issue pending amongst a long list of others! Once you press one, or whatever key they designate, in any of these instances they take you directly to a call center where the real headache begins, if you don't know any better. Once the Pandemic started you may have noticed a decrease in these calls, but now that more and more people are receiving their vaccinations, companies are welcoming more of their staff back into the workplace. What does this mean? More call center staffers can now be available to pick up the phone and bring in business when you hit one and in order to get more people on their lines these companies are reportedly bumping up the number of Robo Calls going out. They'll also most likely increase to make up for time lost while people couldn't work in call centers during the pandemic. According to a recent report Robo Calls in California have definitely increased with a total of about 1.18BIL calls already in 2021, making us the second highest of all 50 states to receive robo calls! YAH- so get ready for another increase and let your elders know, because they're probably the most targeted percentage of the population! #DeclineCall.
