The cast of the upcoming movie THOT logged in for a virtual chat (VID BELOW) to breakdown their thoughts on love, relationships, dating during a pandemic, barbershop talk as well as letting people's pasts not define their future. 'THOT' is set to release early this summer and it came to life after Director Jayson Johnson was inspired by barbershop talks and their potential to sway a person's decision on whether to pursue a love interest. Whatever side you've experienced in the THOT convo- being called one or throwing someone in the THOT category- you have feelings about love, relationships and who you share pillow space with. THOT the movie is looking to address the way a woman's character or image can be flawed or mis-represented in a male dominated space. Question is- is there love on the other side of your pre-conceived thoughts about that person you're feeling? When THOT drops we'll get to see how it plays out for Adrian Marcel's character and his love interest played by Phoenyx Rose. Thanks to Don P's character we'll get some barbershop gossip that might keep them from finding passion and love.
If the plot twist isn't enough for you, the movie features an all black and brown cast and crew, most of which were homegrown right here in the Bay Area, giving the BIPOC voice another opp to be heard in the arts and in theaters! Stay tuned for more as the project gets ready to drop!!
