On Tuesday, February 23rd at 3:30PM PST, Students Making A Change (SMAC) will be co-hosting the AB 705: A Student's Civil Right to Begin in Transfer Level English and Mathwebinar. The students are holding this virtual meet up/webinar to share vital info to other students about their right to be placed directly in transfer-level English and Math classes.
SMAC is holding this webinar because, "direct enrollment significantly increases students' chances of completing college-level courses and transferring to a four-year college. But three years after the passage of AB 705, there are still too many Black and Brown students being placed in remedial education classes.
