Officers Who Shot Stephon Clark Are Back on Duty!

The officers from a Sacramento Police Department involved in the shooting of Stephon Clark are back on duty, just one month after the shooting death of the 22-year-old. Police have said officers thought Clark was holding a gun before they shot him, though only a cell phone was found. Autopsy results revealed that Clark was shot eight times, with six shots in the back.

Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert said Wednesday it could be more than a year before she decides whether to charge the officers.

The police department is telling local media that the two officers involved in the shooting are back at work but not on patrol duty.

Furthermore, new audio was released from the shooting where you could hear the officers saying, "mute it. mute it"
