Oakland school board approves $9M in budget cuts!

A 6 to 1 vote between Oakland Unified School District's Board of Education approved a $9 million budget cut on Wednesday night despite protests of community members. The community, parents, and education advocates rallied to try to keep these cuts from happening but, unfortunately the cuts passed will result in $3.8 million dollars being cut from school sites & $5.2 million being cut from the central office. However, no teachers will be laid off due to any of these cuts. What do you think Oakland?
