Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) thinks it's time that the NBA and NFL league commissioners acknowledge that marijuana has medical benefits for players to deal with the pain of their professions.
"It's much less damaging than the opiods, the painkillers, the shots, the pills ... and it's time professional sports stops punishing them but works with them."
He goes on to say that the leagues are treating their players like "second class citizens" when 2/3 of America can get legal medical marijuana
