Issa Rae looked amazing at the Emmy's and while on the red carpet she was asked by a reporter, so who are you rooting for tonight? Insecure Issa was no where to be find and she blurted out, "I'm rooting for everybody black!" She stayed true to Issa Rae and kept it real.
Issa and many others were quite happy to see Lena Waithe take home the Emmy for writing contributions to the Comedy Series 'Master of None'. She received the award along with Aziz Ansari another talented person of color, changing the perspective of young Hollywood.
Congrats to Lena Waithe- she's the first Black woman to win an Emmy Award for writing!! If you haven't checked out 'Master of None' add it to your Netflix binge list asap!
