TSA Planning To Heighten Their Screening Procedures This Summer

TSA Screens Passengers At Denver International Airport

TSA is planning to update their screening procedures that will require travelers to remove all electronics bigger than cellphones and some food items from their bags and place them in bins to be screened separately.

ABC 7 reports the TSA has found that everyday items can appear similar to explosives on an X-ray machine. This slows down lines because officers must manually inspect a large number of bags.

This change will not affect passengers with PreCheck, only to passengers in standard security lines.
