Teacher was suspended after comparing student to a slave

A teacher in North Carolina has been suspended after a video on social media showed him using a racial slur comparing a 7th grader to a slave.

The child's mother Ayona Wilson said her 13-year-old son was humiliated when the video was posted to Snapchat, and she has since pulled him out of school.

You can hear the teacher in the video saying:

"Did I call you a 'n*****?' No, I said you are being controlled, by kids. That is exactly what happened to the slaves. They were controlled by their owners, you're letting him control you and you're the one who's getting in trouble."
