Parents of 6-year-old Autistic Girl Outraged at Bus Surveillance Video

An investigation is underway after video footage surfaced of a bus aide assaulting a 6-year-old girl with autism.

In the video, the aide is shown touching the little girl throughout the bus ride, just before she slaps her twice on their way to school in New Lenox, Illinois.

The little girl’s father, Nicholas Rushing said his daughter, Kayle, is nonverbal, so she couldn't tell him what happened. “She is an awesome kid and she is super sweet and for this to happen as a dad it almost feels like I failed her, to see that video I don’t think I have ever been more mad in my life,” Rushing said. “It kind of changed her personality on things,” he said of his daughter’s demeanor. “She doesn’t want anything to do with people she doesn’t know.”
