Nearly 15 million babies die per year from Premature Birth. Premature Birth is a tough way to way to bring a life into the world, not only is it emotional for the parents and families, but in cases where the baby doesn't survive it is devastating.
Check out the video above that shows scientists testing an artificial womb that they think will be able to save premature babies. The womb is complete with amniotic fluid and they have seen some success in the tests in which they have used baby lambs.
The video is graphic and will make you think at what cost do these advances in science come with, or is there a way to conduct these tests without some loss of life. After seeing inside this lab, one also has to wonder what TYPES of tests scientists are doing to find a cure for diabetes and cancer!
